A pleasant and innovative city

Did you know that Grenoble is one of the cities with the highest rate of sunshine in France? Only 3 hours from Paris by TGV and located at the foot of ski resorts (Chamrousse is only 25 km away), the city of Isère attracts more than 60,000 students each year, 15% of whom are international. Sensitive to ecological issues, you will appreciate the city's efforts to create an ever more pleasant environment through the enhancement of green spaces ('Quais de l'Isère', 'Parc Paul Mistral', etc.) or the deployment of “soft modes” transport. Grenoble supports its student population by offering a particularly accessible public transport subscription. Its 5 tram lines serve the main axes of the agglomeration, so it is very easy to get from one place to another in a short time. City of art, Grenoble encourages creation through its national Center of arts and cultures at the forefront of contemporary creation, 'Le Magasin'. The city also has some fifteen museums that students can visit at reduced rates and many cinemas and concert halls.

For your nightlife, go to the bars in the city center, Place Saint-André, Place Grenette or Boulevard Gambetta. Grenoble has the reputation of being a welcoming city where you will find all kinds of atmospheres to entertain you at affordable prices.

Excellence training

In France, as abroad, the city is renowned for its researchers and its cutting-edge industry. To train such an elite, it offers all types of courses: from classic university courses (from license to doctorate), to specialized schools.

You can go to the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), which offers training in the fields of economics, law, languages, health, etc.; the National Polytechnic Institute (INP), the engineering school of Grenoble or the Grenoble School of Management (GEM), a partner of EM Lyon and one of the best business schools in France.

In terms of excellent training, note that the 30 students admitted each year to the Grenoble School of Journalism prepare for a double degree: Master's degree in journalism from Stendhal University and the degree from Sciences Po Grenoble.

Each of these establishments provides training recognized for their very high level. It is therefore no coincidence that Grenoble stands out as the leading French research center, just behind Île-de-France.
